Outdoor Outreach is honored to partner with the S. Mark Taper Foundation to connect underserved youth to the transformative power of the outdoors. The S. Mark Taper Foundation’s generous grant will help open the outdoors to more than 1,000 young people through Outdoor Outreach’s Adventure Club, Partner, Military and Leadership programs this year. Outdoor Outreach provides peer-centered support and organized, adult-led activities for under-resourced youth who lack the means, transportation or family support to get outside.
“We are very grateful to the S. Mark Taper Foundation for helping us inspire meaningful change in so many lives,” said Ben McCue, Executive Director of Outdoor Outreach. “These young people are the future of our communities; what they learn about themselves and each other through the outdoors can help them to become responsible adults, conscientious outdoor enthusiasts, and leaders in their communities.”
